It's that time of year. It's Christmas. It was Hanukah. I think Kwanza is or has happened too. It was when the pagans celebrated the Winter Solstice. It's as ancient as it gets, folks. This demarcation of time is deep within our human bones.
This is naturally the time of year to reflect on what we've done with our time. It's cold. We would have found food hard to come by. It's the modern age though, and we're in America. Food is plentiful for most. Now is the time to reflect, drink, eat, be around loved ones, prioritize, and plan.
I am getting ready to publish my book, "The End of New York: Booze, Broads, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu". This has been about a year in the making. I know this will mean even more work. I will need to promote the book. I will need to write, draw, compete, and make more little video clips. The work is never done.
When I was younger I believed in Hollywood. Rom coms filled my head with nonsense. I believed that one simply arrives. You do the work, and then poof, you are at the end of the rainbow. Once you're there, you're on easy streak. The world has changed a lot. There isn't a moment when one arrives. It may have never been that way. Now, the middle man is not essential. Self publishing, the internet, Youtube, and Twitter are a few ways to do it yourself. I have been grateful to share my work with a larger audience in a more substantial way. The book will be a far more in-depth look into the Tasty Danish's soul.
The book is far from politically correct. It isn't about offending. It's about being as honest as possible. I think language can do just that. It is a book that bears my soul. It reveals my inner most thoughts, experiences, and bits of knowledge. I will be sure to continue to amp it up this coming 2018.
Thanks again, for those who have come to embrace the Tasty Danish! I honor you by continuing to push forward on creating things that speak to our current life. Remember, folks: He made it for you and me! So, I'm continuing to make work with that in mind.
