Everyone is searching. It seems like a new phenomenon, because everybody is talking about it now. I'd like to say it's women who are doing it more, but honestly it's everybody under 45 who seems to be screaming for a gold medal on the race to enlightenment. What has become of the legacy of the greatest generation. They were stoics. They lived through a brutal war, and they trudged on. They didn't allow for any other option. Life sucks; embrace the suck. That's the philosophy in a nutshell. Stoicism is beautiful, because there's strength in it. Also, stoics are typically quiet; so, we don't have to hear their whining. I cruise past friends' and girlfriends' Instagram profiles. They're ever so annoying.
Not long ago, I started deleting profiles of women who just post "thirst" pics. I had a digital harem of vapid bitches who thrived off the lust of thousands of dummies like me. I removed them, and became better for it. Also, I believe I helped them by not enabling their dirty habit of attention seeking. Now, I find I have to do a purge of removing a different kind of attention whore. I have unwittingly followed accounts of people on Instagram who deem themselves gurus. This social media is a strange business. Everybody has a show of sorts now. I'd like to think I do it a little differently. I post art that is thought provoking. My selfies are rare, and I even write about substantial topics that at least close friends enjoy. I saw an account from a wannabe guru who just started Jiu-Jitsu. He posts memes that aren't his. He creates nothing, dedicated no real time to the art, has nothing to offer, but still wants to stand as a guru in this field. I feel like saying, "Hey, dummy! You know nothing about what you speak. Stop posting this shit." Alas, it's a waste of time. I'll just stop following false prophets. I need to go through and make a purge of dummies branding themselves as the next coming. I want to reach an olive branch out to the losers who want attention for accomplishing nothing, but they're brain-dead. You can't reason with them. We live in a world where the brain-dead walk the Earth. Apparently, three zombie shows wasn't enough. We get zombie shows from morons who think they have something to say. The only thing one can get from viewing these profiles is the cringe effect. It's a wonderful feeling to be embarrassed on behalf of. It does keep us honest, and we can get introspective. I find myself questioning my very existence when I see one of these brain-dead post a selfie of them looking off into the distance with an inspirational quote.
Yes, I have something to say, but more than that, I spent time cultivating a craft. I'm no Hemingway, but I put in some damn time. I've spent countless hours writing and drawing. Thus, I have a coherent body of work. For those who want to get into this attention seeking, please have something to offer. I know we're all gurus now, but maybe most of us should practice stoicism. We're a very feeling culture now. We had a feeling that Christine Blasey Ford was assaulted by Brett Kavanaugh, but there was no evidence. We thought there was Russian collusion, but alas no evidence. Evidence is so annoying; it takes time to prove something true... who has time for that? Feelings are immediate. Feelings feel good. Getting immediate attention for nonsense without proving you know what you're talking about is priceless.
I'll stick to what I know, and continue to do what I do best. I'll continue to piss off leftists, and make things that are original. If you don't like it that's because there isn't enough room in Hell, and you're one of the brain-dead walking the Earth.
